Baby it's cold outside! For the past couple weeks I've been getting e-mails from my dear friend Christine... who lives in New Zealand... where it is SUMMER now... asking for more photos. So hear you go dear! Seriously though, I hope everyone made it safely through the storm. As soon as it started snowing I was chomping at the bit to get outside with my camera.
The images above were taken with my compact point and shoot digital camera, the Fuji F30. It is a GREAT little camera for those times when I don't want to get out the DSLR's. Like today. With 40 mph wind gusts and absolutely frozen fingers. Brrrrr. You can see Daniel inside the snow cave he excavated. And that is our dog Ozzy at the top, picking apart and eating a walnut. Nutty dog. Hehe. Get it? Nutty dog!
So what have I been up to this past month? Tis' the season for business and marketing. I've been designing some sample albums from a few 2006 weddings. As a matter of fact, the UPS carrier should be here within the hour with my first finished album. I can't wait to see it! There is a second sample album in production and I'm still working on the design of a third.
Many of the wedding inquiries that I get are from couples that are out of the area. Since it isn't always possible to meet in person, I wanted something more for them in addition to what I could send through an e-mail. After much thought, I designed an information packet that fits in an envelope and can be easily mailed. It is coordinated with the colors of my logo and website and contains coverage information, a DVD slideshow and some actual print samples. It seems to have gone over very well, I've gotten lots of positive feedback from the couples that I've sent it to. Soooooooo that's been my winter so far. Happy Valentines Day!
